Postdocs of Cambridge Society

On Saturday 16th July, join us on a day trip of two halves.

In the first, we'll enjoy our neighbouring cathedral city of Ely, with time to take in its majestic cathedral, picturesque marina and various other sights. We'll also have lunch in Ely.

In the second, for those so inclined, we'll journey onwards to the English Whisky Company in rural Norfolk, where we'll enjoy a tour of the St George's distillery. The company bottled its first whisky in 2009 and is fast gaining a reputation as a worthy competitor to the finest Scottish malts. The St George's Tour will show us the distillery and include a taste of one or two whiskies; the cost of the tour is £10.60 per person (please use Paypal button below). Transport will cost extra, to be paid on the day (several options; arrangements tbc).

For those not partial to whisky, it will of course be possible to spend the afternoon enjoying more of Ely. For those not partial to Ely, it will also be possible to join for just the distillery tour -- please e-mail Stephen (srk31@cam.ac.uk) to confirm travel and timing details.

Note that the distillery tour is limited to 25 places, so please sign up using the Google form: http://goo.gl/forms/bBESri1zxYQnueS23. Even if you're expecting to join only for Ely, filling in the Google form would be very helpful and will allow us to e-mail you final details nearer the time.
