Ever wondered where to find a special ale? Ever pondered where to take visiting friends and family for a “true Cambridge experience”? Ever wished you could impress your date with some historic facts about the place you are at? Solve all these problems in one evening by joining us for a walk around Castle End and learn about its pubs, past and present.
We will meet at the Pickerel (30 Magdalene St, Cambridge CB3 0AF), will walk and learn for about an hour, and will end at the Castle Inn (38 Castle St, Cambridge CB3 0AJ). A charge of £5 per person will allow our local expert to carry on with his studies (to be paid before the walk). Gathering at the Pickerel will start at 5:30pm, the walk will begin at 6pm, and from about 7pm on you will be free to mingle at the Castle Inn (or any other pub that you learned about that evening).
