The Lake District is England's largest national park, the most visited national park in the United Kingdom, and was the home of William Wordsworth and his fellow Romantic Lake Poets. The trip will take place over the August bank holiday weekend, leaving after work on Friday 28th August 2015 and returning on Monday 31st August 2015.
Our accommodation will be in the heart of the Lake District at the Derwentwater Independent hostel, a Grade II listed Georgian mansion in the Borrowdale Valley. With 6 lakes and the four highest mountains in England close by, we will not lack for entertainment.
You will need to bring (worn in) hiking boots, a rucksack, a waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, clothes, a hat, gloves, a water bottle, a towel, toiletries and cash.
