The PdOC Society and Personal and Professional Development (PPD) are pleased to offer the masterclass:
Prepare Yourself for Leadership
Do you aspire to be an effective leader? Do you want to develop a greater understanding of what makes a good leader? How do you develop your own leadership ‘style’ that is authentic for you? Are you preparing for a future leadership role (in or outside academia?)
All great leadership starts with you. The ability to "… keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, and blaming it on you!”
About the Masterclass
This masterclass, led by Jefferson Cann from Extraordinary Leadership, will focus on developing self-leadership – the essential bedrock for any future leadership development. The interactive Masterclass is based on the experiential exploration of key concepts, capabilities and actions. Each participant explores their individual experience of each element of leadership, e.g. managing stress and tension, creating adult-to adult relationships, handling conflict, and this individual experience will then be shared in pairs or small groups and developmental actions identified and practised. These new experiences, understandings and commitments will then be captured in personal action and development plans.
Learning outcomes
This Masterclass will help YOU begin to understand how YOU can become an effective leader via;
- appreciation of other's perspectives, language and value systems,
- understanding that awareness and connection lie at the heart of leadership whatever leadership "style" might be used,

- understanding the importance of and ability to access and maintain positive and professional adult-to-adult relationships,
