Afternoon hike up the biggest hill in Cambridgeshire
Hikes aren't just for the Lake District! Whether practising for the big weekend, or consoling yourself for being unable to go, there is charming countryside to be enjoyed as we climb to the dizzying height of 146m above sea level at Great Chishill.
We'll take the train down to Great Chesterford, from where the initial walk will cover just over 9 miles, over Great Chishill to Barley, where we'll stop for liquid refreshment at a pub. Exhausted persons will be able to bail via taxi at this point, while the rest will continue the remaining four miles down to Royston for the train home.
