After the screening, Dr Ghina M. Halabi will moderate a conversation and Q&A with the film maker Jan Millsapps, and a short reading from Jan’s novel "Venus on Mars".
Time: 17:00 - The film is 30 minutes long and will be followed by a conversation and Q&A, for approximately another 30 minutes.

Bio:
Millsapps has spoken about the need for diversity in the space arena at several Mars Society Conventions, at the 2017 United Nations “Space for Women” experts meeting in New York, and at “SETI Talks” in 2018. She is a founding member of “Space for Women,” a global network of women working to empower and prepare women for careers in space sectors worldwide.
She is Professor Emeritus of Cinema at San Francisco State University, where she taught courses in digital cinema, interactive cinema, web cinema and short format screenwriting. She earned her B.A. with honors from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, her M.A. from Winthrop University, and her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. She holds an academic certificate in cosmology from the University of Central Lancashire in England. Jan’s unrealised - yet powerful - dream of becoming an astronaut was featured in the story Catching up With a Girl Left Behind on Scheherazade Speaks Science.
