Come and join us for a great evening with the pianist László Stachó. This event is organised by the PdOC and the NVS and will be a fantastic opportunity to watch an amazing performance in a beautiful venue - the Corpus Christi Chapel.

It may not be an overstatement to claim that a substantial (if not the major) part of the Western repertoire was written in a geographically quite well-definable area: in an approximately 150-mile-radius circle around Vienna. Think of these greatest names after Bach: Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Liszt, or Bartók – they all lived and worked within this geometrical circle for most of their lives. In their oeuvres you can find the most deeply moving, delicate, passionate and humorous pages of music history. I bring you a handful of these compositions to lighten this dark January evening – and to reflect upon.” – László Stachó

The concert will include the following pieces

J. S. Bach: Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, BWV 903
Schubert: Fantasie, Op. 78 (from the Sonata in G major, D 894)
Schubert: Andantino from the Sonata in A major, D. 959
Mozart: Rondo in A minor, KV 511
Bartók: Romanian Folk Dances, BB 68
Haydn: Sonata in G major, Hob.XVI:40
Bartók: Preludio – All’Ungherese, BB 90

The event is completely free, so don't hesitate in joining us!! Families and friends are welcome!!!
