The Science of Story: Effective Communication with Storytelling

The mind yields to communication delivered in a very particular package: a story. An astrophysicist and storyteller offers a dynamic one-hour workshop to help you weave tales out of this world. You will explore how storytelling can transform your work and amplify your impact through proven communication techniques. The workshop provides powerful narrative tools to stand out, own your story and harness its power to bring about the change you want to see in the world.
The workshop will offer

1.     Techniques that help bring the research story to life
2.     Insight into the narrative structure and the value of a good story
3.     View through a narrative lens: data-telling versus storytelling
4.     Ideas to make research accessible using alternative vocabulary
5.     Narrative templates to communicate with impact
