Postdocs of Cambridge Society

Looking for something to do this Friday evening?  Join your fellow postdocs to see The Imitation Game.

We will meet at the Earl of Derby pub at 7pm for drinks before going to see the 8:20pm showing of The Imitation Game at the Cineworld Cinema.

Tickets: You can purchase tickets ahead of time on the Cineworld website:

http://www.cineworld.co.uk/cinemas/cambridge

We will be seeing the 20:20 showing on Friday 28 November.  The film has been out for a few weeks already.  Nonetheless, you are encouraged to purchase tickets in advanced.  So that we sit together as a group, try to purchase a ticket in rows F or G and post your seat on Facebook (I am sitting at F8).

Film Synopsis: Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius Cambridge mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the UK government in 1952 for homosexual acts which the country deemed illegal.
