Newcomers and Visiting Scholars
Introduction
While Cambridge’s collegiate system might seem challenging and confusing to newly arriving postdocs, it can be especially difficult for their families to find social contacts. This is where the Newcomers and Visiting Scholars (NVS) group might be able to help. The NVS is a volunteer-run group offering a wide variety of regular activities for newly arriving scholars as well as their families. No matter if you are simply looking for insights while moving to Cambridge, if you would like to improve your English through informal conversations, if you want to join storytelling sessions with your children, or if you intend to attend one of the many other group activities reaching from cooking sessions to local walks; the NVS are happy to support you. Click here to register with them (no Raven login required) or have a look at the current term’s programme.
NVS Regular Events:
You must check their calendar to confirm the event is happening before attending.
