PdOC Christmas Dinner

The PdOC Society is pleased to invite Cambridge postdocs, and their guests, to its annual Christmas dinner.

This year we will be dining at St Catherines College on Thursday 13th December. Come along to meet postdocs from a wide range of academic disciplines.

Guests are invited to arrive from 6:30pm onwards, when there will be a drinks reception followed by Dinner in the dining hall at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £35 per person to include a 3 course meal, or £40 to include a welcome drink, half a bottle of house wine and soft drinks. 

The dress code for the evening is smart dress, which means a jacket and tie or equivalent. Gowns are not required.

Chicken & leek terrine, Parma ham, grilled baby leek, buttermilk purée, grained mustard dressing

Tournedos of salmon, lemon & ricotta stuffing, lemon purée, toasted pine nuts, 

rocket, smoked salmon oil

Leek & potato soup, chive oil (v)

 

Main

Roast turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, sautéed Brussels & pancetta, goose fat potatoes, baby carrots, jus

Pan-fried sea bass, seafood risotto, grilled leeks, seafood oil

OR

Root vegetable croquette, herbed pomme purée, sautéed spinach, baby carrots, grained mustard sauce (v)

 

Dessert

Homemade Christmas pudding, brandy sauce

Chocolate tart, cherry gel, almond praline, mascarpone

Lemon cheesecake, roasted pear, lemon sponge, beurre noisette powder
