PdOC Hiking Trip to Peak District

Accommodation

Staying at YHA Ravenstor, a National Trust country house set in 60 acres of its own grounds with spectacular views across the Peak District, it is situated high above the River Wye between Bakewell and Buxton. There are plenty of walking routes, including the Monsal Trail, easily accessible from the accommodation. There is a self catering kitchen available as well as the option to dine.

Transport

A coach has been booked to travel from Queens Road, Cambridge at 15:00 on Friday 22nd May, then returning on Monday 25th May pick-up from the hostel at 15:00. There are good public transport links from the hostel as well as local taxi services. 

At the location, we are considering hiring local coaches to/from the hostel and hiking locations, which may incur additional costs if you elect to join via this route. A taxi is likely to cost £10 to/from several trail heads, which can be split amongst several riders.

Pricing

The cost is £150 per person - This covers coach to and from YHA Ravenstor, three nights accommodation, and three breakfasts and one dinner. You will have to provide for your own lunches AND we will seek other locations for the other evening meals.

No prior hiking experience is necessary, but please indicate your level of experience on the google form so that we can plan our walks accordingly. You will need worn-in hiking boots, so if this will be your first walking trip then please think about this now. Blisters are no fun!
