Postdocs of Cambridge Society

 

We'll go for a little day trip to various locations in Suffolk: first by train to the historic market town of Bury St. Edmunds, including a look at the delightful Abbey Gardens and their medieval ruins.  then onward to Sutton Hoo, a famous archaeological site. Its 7th-century Anglo-Saxon burial mounds overlook the river Deben, making them also a nice place for a stroll! On the way back we'll stop for dinner in Ipswich.
We'll meet at Cambridge station at 9.15am, and should be back in Cambridge at 10.40pm. (*NOTE* that the start time is one hour earlier than initially advertised, to allow us more time at Sutton Hoo.)
